St Thomas More Primary School, Belgrave

St Thomas More Primary School in Belgrave is the latest school to join the KidsCast program, giving students the opportunity to share what's happening across their school in their own words.

As a close-knit school community in the Dandenong Ranges, St Thomas More places importance on student voice, participation and connection. The school podcast provides a platform for students to share news, interview guests and highlight the many activities taking place throughout the year.

Created and presented by students, the podcast offers families a different way to stay connected with school life while giving students a genuine audience for their work.

Through the process of planning, recording and presenting episodes, students develop confidence, communication skills and experience working collaboratively as part of a team. The podcast also creates opportunities for students to celebrate achievements, share ideas and tell stories from across the school community.
